Kidde Quick Connect Smoke Detector Adapter Plug, Smoke Alarm Wiring Harness, Compatible with FireX Hardwired Smoke, Carbon Monoxide, & Combination Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detectors, model 20-9003, are adapters that quickly connect Kidde & FireX hardwired smoke, carbon monoxide, or combination smoke & carbon monoxide alarms – getting rid of the need for rewiring, and wire stripping. The adapter plug works with your 120V AC power outlet installed in your ceiling for smoke detectors. The Quick Connect installation may also be completed in four steps: simply insert the 2-pin male connector from the adapter into the hardwire from your ceiling, use the female side of adapter to plug into the back of your smoke, carbon monoxide, or combination smoke & carbon monoxide alarm, test your alarm to make sure connection, and connect the alarm to the bracket on your ceiling. Ideal for retrofitting new smoke, carbon monoxide, or combination smoke & carbon monoxide alarms in older homes or connecting alarms with interconnect capabilities (alarms should have hardwired AC interconnect capability). Interconnection capability: permits you to connect up to 24 Kidde smoke, heat, or CO alarms, with the perhaps it interconnect 6 strobe lights or relay modules.
